The Lagarde winery dates back to 1887 and is located in the upper Mendoza river region - the 'Primera' zone. The 'HENRY' range is named after the owner of Lagarde, Enrique Pescarmona. Only made in exceptional vintages and in very small quantities, this wine has spent 24 months in new French oak and a further 10 months in the bottle prior to release. Cabernet Franc is a traditional Bordeaux grape, it is uncommon to find this grape as a varietal; a parent of the more recognised Cabernet Sauvignon. I have tasted this one very recently and it is sublime - give it a go.
